Chiyaan Vikram's son Dhruv vikram has initially been planning to debut with Varmaa, the official Tamil remake of Tollywood cult blockbuster Arjun Reddy, which was to be directed by national award winning director bala pairing with Megha Chowdhury.
However, following producer displeasure and bala wanting to safeguard his creative freedom, the movie was scrapped and started afresh as adithya Varma, directed by debutant director Gireesaaya with Dhruv retained and paired with October fame Bollywood actress banita sandhu and dusky priya Anand.
The shooting happened in Chennai and mumbai, besides in portugal, where Chiyaan vikram himself went and observed Dhruv performance and the making. Only 10 days shooting remains and the same will be shot in Dehradun and adithya Varma might release in July.
