Simbu made a comeback post the extremely disastrous Anbanavan Asarathavan Adangathavan with Maniratnam directorial Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, though this year was bad with the disastrous Vanthaa Rajavathaan Varuven helmed by Sundar.C.
He now has movies like Maanadu by Venkat prabhu, Mufti remake costarring Gautham karthik helmed by debutant Narthan, Thotti Jaya 2 with VZ Dhurai and another with hari bankrolled by AM Ratnam.
Now the latest buzz is that he'll join director Muthiah known for caste-based rural entertainers and bankrolled by Studio Green. Currently, Studio Green is bankrolling Simbu movie by Narthan and recently bankrolled Devarattam by Muthiah.
