Mega prince varun Tej's Valmiki is all set for a grand release on September 20th across the globe. The members belonging to Boya Hakkula Samithi have filed a petition seeking an order to change the title of the film. In the petition, they alleged that the title hurts the sentiments of Boya Valmiki Community. The petitioners also sought action to be taken on the makers for this act.

Andhra Pradesh High Court had issued notices to AP DGP, Censor Board, Film Chamber, the Movie Unit, and Hero varun Tej. The court has given them four weeks time to respond to the allegations. Valmiki is gearing up for release on 20th of this month and that means the hearing will come after the film's run at the Box Office. That means there will be no impact on the film release.

The movie is the official remake of Tamil dark comedy 'Jigarthanda.' The majority of the film takes place in the 80s and 90s with several changes to the script. varun Tej's getup has become one of the biggest selling points of the film.  The Actor will be seen as a baddie who goes by the name, Gaddalakonda Ganesh. This is his first tryst with a negative character.
