Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan seem to have become a synonym of postponements. After a numerous postponements, the movie was scheduled for April 9th release but looks like it is not going to happen then.
The entire South India will be busy with elections from Mid April to May 1st week. Rajinikanth enjoys huge popularity in the region and it is unlikely that the makers will release the movie in such busy season. In case of postponement, the movie may be pushed to the second week of May.
The audio release event of the movie will be taking place on one of the famous multiplexes in Chennai on March 9th. Both the Telugu and Tamil version audios will be releasing from the same dais.
The movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi languages. Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment, are funding the movie, which is directed by Rajinikanth's daughter, Soundarya R Ashwin. The music is scored by double Oscar winner A R Rahman and sound recording by another Oscar winner Resul Pookutty.
