There are several instances in the past when Rajinikanth films gave tough competition to our stars at the box office. Many times there are instances when our local films have postponed due to Rajinikanth.
The Superstar's films like Basha, Muthu, Narasimha, Sivaji and Robo have done exceptionally well and tumbled down several records at the box office. But his latest film, Vikrama Simha has opened to almost empty theaters in AP
The cartoon film feeling of the movie failed to invoke interest in audience and trade as well. The movie found no takers and the makers had to release it on their own. Adding to this there is absolutely Zero promotion for the film.
All these factors added up to the film and Vikrama Simha failed to create any effect at the box office. Unfortunately there is a dismal talk emerging from the Morning and matinee shows of the film which indicate a big flop on the way for the Superstar in AP.
