Our readers may be aware that Victory Venkatesh is interested in making a movie on Swamy Vivekananda for a long time. He invested lot of time, energy and money in to the project. Suresh Productions even employed JK Bharavi, Raghavender Rao and Neelakanta to work on the script but some how it never materialized. At one point they even thought of making it as a serial.
Suresh Babu had spent in lot of money just for the preproduction of the movie which is the dream role of Victory Venkatesh but now he came to a conclusion that the film will not work commercially. It is said that Suresh Babu and Venkatesh came up with an idea of selling this subject. They are planning to convert the subject into a film like ‘Munnabhai’ where in Swamy Vivekananda comes into someone’s life and brings the change.
The idea is at very premature stage and has to be worked out. It is said that Suresh Babu wants to employ a director and work on this lines. If the project still does not satisfy him, Daggubati family may shelve the project for ever. Venkatesh is currently busy with the shooting of Gopala Gopala, the remake of Bollywood film, Oh My God.
Venkatesh is nearing the end of his career. He wants to extend it as much as possible by doing multistarer projects and experimental works like Drishyam and this project of Swami Vivekananda. We will have to see if Venky gets a chance to start his dream project!
