The Indian judiciary is so fragile when it comes to men and their rights that one small allegation by a woman can ruin the rest of their lives. This is quite common in the entertainment industry. Recently the famous Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar faced a lot of turmoil due to that.
A model cum actress Preeti Jain had alleged that Madhur promised her a role and raped her. She filed case upon case and vowed to get the director into jail. But justice seems to have prevailed. The Supreme Court has quashed all the allegations against Madhur by the actress but here is the interesting part.
It is heard that Preeti had lost all interest in fighting the case since it is on from the past nine years. According to her original complaint, Madhur had sex with Preeti for about sixteen times promising her a lead role in his film. Whether he had sex or not, the Court has given the verdict and that is final.
