Remember the actor who played the role of a poor weaver in Vedam movie. Nagayya impressed every one with his excellent acting in the movie. He almost left audience in tears with some excellent dialogues and acting. Nagayya later acted in few handful of movies but could not make a career in films.
However Nagayya is now in neck deep financial trouble. Coming from a poor back ground, Nagayya is now left on to streets with out work. He is now spotted in Filmnagar begging to make some money for living. Nagayya has a son who works as a lightman in film industry. But his meager earnings could not support the family.
Telugu film industry which boasts of being one of the biggest industries in the country can not afford work or some pension to its artists. Rajendra Prasad who recently became Movie Artistes Association President also made tall clams to giving pensions to old and poor artists. If that happened, the very talented Nagayya would not have been on roads begging.
