Speaking about their relation and career, Amala said "Our relationship began due to my admiration for him as an actor. That's why I give him the best marks as an actor. As husband, He is wonderful and I would rate him slightly less than the actor. Parenthood is the shortest period of all the three roles and hence it would prefer the last position."
Amala also revealed fights with Nagarjuna saying "There used to be a Labrador in our house. It's actually Akhil's dog. People who visit us used to get scared as its huge in size and it used to jump on them. So, I sent the dog for a one-month training. Nag was upset with me and stopped talking to me for 1 week as he is very close to this dog which used to receive him when he reached home after the day's work. Finally, He understood why I have done so and appreciated me".
