Tamil Cinema is recently facing a trend which is either positive or negative. The trend is to use Ajith name and pull audience inside theaters. Ajith is a self-made actor who avoids advertisements. But his names are used by most of them for grabbing attention. Let's see few of the recent releases which used 'Thala' names
1. Yatchan
Arya who is a hardcore fan of Ajith has acted himself as Ajith fan and taken the movie to next level. Ajith fans considered 'Yatchan' as a teaser for their movie. Vishnuvardhan who directed 'Yatchan' was also huge fan of Ajith
2. Strawberry
Even for the promotions, they made comedy actor Robo Shankar to speak high about 'Thala'. They even made a video dedicated to Thala fans before the release.
3. Kaaki Sattai
Siva Karthikeyan who is known to mimic Vijay has used Ajith's 'Arrambam' dialogue. He will say, "Thala style la solanumnaa, it's just the beginning..."
4. Unakenna Venum Sollu
This is an upcoming horror movie. The director himself said, the entire team is filled with Ajith fans and we wanted to keep a title related to Ajith and they chose this one from 'Yennai Arindhaal'.
5. Vaalu
STR completely made this movie as a tribute to Ajith. He sarcastically mocked Vijay by saying thanks to 'Ilayatalapathy' Vijay instead of 'Ilayathalapathy'. It has to be noted that Vijay helped STR to get a release, but despite that, STR showed his love and passion towards Ajith and it was obvious in each frame.
