Varun Dhawan who did romantic roles in movies like 'Student of the Year', 'Main Tera Hero' and 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' became another person in 'Badlapur'. He transformed into an action hero with that movie.
The 28 year old actor said he never expected to get such a transformation. Regarding the transformation the actor said, "Well, Badlapur did transform me. I never looked at the role as the hero's, but just prepared for Raghu's role. I felt his pain. He is as flawed as any other human being"

The actor was last seen in 'ABCD 2' which made 100 Crores recently. The actor is also shooting for 'Dilwale' and 'Dishoom'. Both the movies are in various stages of shooting.
