There were some reports recently that Mysoora Reddy who is currently at the fag end of his political career is reportedly making plans for reviving Rayalaseema agitation seriously. In what is being seen as step in this direction, he announced that Andhra Pradesh's new capital Amaravathi is definitely not their capital.
The YSRCP leader has accused the new government of Andhra Pradesh for acting based on whims and fancies, adding that the whole new capital drama is more focused on promoting land mafia and shady real estate deals.
Mysoora Reddy pointed out at the Sivaramakrishnan Committee which stated clearly that the new capital cannot come up between Vijayawada and Guntur, even as the government of AP is going ahead with such an agenda for making the city unaffordable and inaccessible for the common man.
He added that entire Rayalaseema is not happy with these developments and hence they are least bothered about what is happening in the capital zone. Mysoora stressed that Seema people feel the time has come to work together and fight for a new state.
