The TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has reached the last leg of his marathon Padayatra named as ‘Vastunna Mee Kosam’. The last leg is now happening in the north Andhra region and this happens to be a very significant area for the Telugu Desam. In the last few years, the party’s presence has come down very rapidly.
Senior leader like Yerram Naidu is no more. Other veterans like Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu have become old and are not confident to fight in the elections. At this point, many are seeing what kind of impact Chandrababu’s Padayatra has made. It turns out that the result is very positive.
The presence of Babu has boosted the confidence of the young TDP workers and the cadre level leaders in north Andhra. In the recent past some new youngsters like Rammohan Naidu and others have also taken some dynamic initiatives when Babu was walking in the north Andhra and all this has given a good feel among the people. We have to wait for the 2014 elections to get the actual result.
