PM Modi and the ruling BJP led NDA government is planning to introduce a dream budget in a dream manner. Since this is the first budget after demonetisation, PM Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley are planning to introduce Smooth Budget in the Parliament.
However their plans of Smooth Budget may get huge shock as opposition parties are planning to disrupt it. Already Mamata Bannerjee's TMC which is waging bitter war against PM Modi is planning to boycott it.
TMC didnot attend the all party meeting and Congress patty threatened to disrupt the Financce Minister's budget speech though Modi reached out to the opposition at an all party meeting.
It is known that Winter session of the Parliament was a complete was a complete wash out over demonetisation and on various issues with TMC in the forefront of the agitation. Branding the Parliament as a ‘Mahapanchayat’, Modi sought the cooperation of all parties in the smooth running of the House. He said that Parliament should function despite differences that may crop up during the poll season.
Congress opposed Government decision to advance Budget date from Feb 28 to Feb 1 just ahead of the assembly elections in five states.
