1.  15 lakh transport vehicles to go on indefinite stir from tomorrow :  Over 15 lakh transport vehicles in Telangana including Greater Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are set to go off the roads indefinitely from 6 am on March 30, thus bringing to a halt transportation of commodities like rice, wheat, sugar, pulses, steel, sand, cement and all items except essential commodities. 
2.  11,846 new cases of HIV in Hyderabad in 2016 :  The deadly HIV is on the rise in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, with the capital city alone accounting for 33 per cent of HIV AIDS cases in the state. In fact, the number of people living with HIV (PLHIV) has increased by seven percent in the last one year.
3.  Telangana star performer in digital transactions post demonetisation :  Telangana has registered the highest number of e-transactions in the country post-demonetisation. With just a 3.51-crore population, the state topped all categories of digital transactions. 
4.  Crime tracking system a shot in the arm for speedy investigation :  The Telangana police rolled out the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) on Tuesday, joining an elite club of a few states.
5.  Lawyer held for defaming junior judge on Facebook :  City cyber crime police on Tuesday arrested a Nigerian national, Noberth Chukwuedo, from New Delhi for cheating a movie artist to the tune of 2.7 lakhs. In another case, the Cyberabad police arrested one P Mahesh, a legal advisor, for defaming a junior judge on Facebook by creating her fake profile.
6.  Can somebody tell who is to check expiry date of medicines at Gandhi Hospital ? :  Expiry dates of medicines were not checked by the Drug Control Authority, senior inspectors said on Tuesday, a day after Gandhi Hospital claimed all medicines were thoroughly checked in the past.
7.  Hyderabad woman forced to be sex slave in Saudi Arabia, cries for help :    A city woman, facing sexual abuse in Saudi Arabia, is making a desperate attempt to be free of her tormentor. The woman has fled the house where she was working in Riyadh. 
8.  Teachers' names still on college lists after resignation, JNTU sends notice :  A staggering 142 faculty members from various technical colleges in the city approached the Jawaharlal NehruTechnological University, Hyderabad, against college managements saying they had not 'relieved' them even after their resignations had been submitted.
9.  Poorna biopic only on big screens :  It sure would have been lonely at the top for Poorna who climbed the Everest, but in the crowded Tollywood, there seems to be not much place for her. The film is being released by PVR cinemas only in multiplexes but not in any single screen theatres.
10.  US murder: Bodies to reach by March 31 :  The bodies of Sasikala and her seven-year-old son Anish, who were found murdered at their home in New Jersey, are likely to arrive in India on March 31, sources in US told TOI on phone. 


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Andhra Pradesh yet to make moves to get artefacts from London :  It's now official.The Andhra Pradesh government, which has been portraying Amaravati as a world city of heritage and culture, has strangely not written to the Centre seeking its help in the return of Amaravati artefacts from the London Museum.
2.  Governor, Naidu convey Ugadi greetings :  Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and others conveyed their greetings to people on Tuesday on the eve of Ugadi, the Telugu new year day.
3.  CBI files petition seeking cancellation of Jagan’s bail :  CBI officials on Tuesday filed a petition in a local court here on Tuesday seeking cancellation of the bail issued to opposition leader in Andhra Pradesh and YSRCP MLA Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy in quid pro quo case.
4.  RTI slaps fine on three Tehsildars :  The AP Information Commission has slapped a fine on three successive Tehsildars of Tirupati Rural mandal, for failing to comply with its orders to provide information to an applicant.
5.  Paper leak: What about the big fish, asks Jagan :  The State Government which tried to hush up a “mistake” with regard to the leak of tenth standard examination paper from an institution that belongs to Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana’s family was now trying to blame it on an employee — an invigilator, alleged Leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
6.  BJP MLA alleges threat to life :  "If I get killed in a road accident, don’t brush it aside as a normal incident. I am constantly receiving death threats. The government should immediately order an inquiry,” said an agitated Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju on Tuesday.
7.  Fix speed governors on all transport vehicles: CM :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to fix speed governors and retro-reflective tapes on all transport vehicles to prevent road accidents.

9.  'Coast to Coast' rally flagged off :  The final leg of the ‘Coast to Coast ’ rally, organised by the navy as part of a social outreach programme, was flagged off here on Tuesday by Chief of Staff of the Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain.
10.  Heady cocktail of guns and narcotics :  The heady cocktail of guns and narcotics leading to gang wars appears to have been averted for the time being with the arrest of the eight-member gang and recovery of four .32 semi-automatic pistols with 50 rounds, here on Tuesday.
