Former HAL chief Swarna Raju has said that Rafel war air crafts could have been developed by Hindustan Aeronautics limited. Till before three weeks, Swarna Raju had been the chief of HAL, and now he has opened up on the Rafel scam. As per the agreement between central government and French government, it was decided to purchase 36 Rafel war air crafts from France, in 2015, at an estimated cost of 59000 crores.
As this agreement details were not established in public, everyday Congress party has been dragging a new controversy using the Rafel jet scam, and it was said that in the previous government lead by UPA, it was decided that Congress had planned to ask 126 Rafel jets, and of them, 109 were planned to be made with the spare parts obtained from France at HAL.
However the BJP had totally changed
it, Defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that HAL was not able to
satisfy the conditions set during the UPA rule, but now Swarna Raju has said
that HAL could have made Rafel jets themselves, as he could say that with his
experience of over 5 years as a technical team head of HAL, and now this has
come as a blow to BJP.
