Two Telugu states chief ministers had a good discussion on river linking issue, they emphasized on how and from where to transfer Godavari waters to krishna river. Telangana chief minister k. Chandrasekhar Rao and his counterpart Y S Jaganmohan reddy on Monday took a decision to link Godavari and krishna rivers with the least land acquisition.


Both the leaders had lengthy discussion on linking of two rivers, they also held talks on various other issues pertaining to two states. They emphasized on importance of linking the rivers, how and from where Godavari water can be transferred to krishna river, and how beneficial it would be to both the states.


Mr. Rao requested Andhra Pradesh CM to help in providing training to 4000 policemen, as state government is going to recruit 18000 policemen in one go, to which Mr. Reddy responded positively and agreed.


The meeting between two leaders is said to be successful as river water woes were a long pending issue since bifurcation happened in 2014. Two chief ministers met at Mr. Rao official residence in hyderabad .
