Earthquake struck at many northern cities of pakistan, the epicenter of quake was somewhere near indo-Pak border, Rawalpindi is said to be the worst affecting city by quake, informed NCS official.An earthquake with 5.8 magnitude has struck in northern pakistan near india pakistan border, mild tremors were felt in delhi-NCR and north india as well .


It jolted many northern pakistan cities like Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Lahore. The quake lasted for about 10 seconds. The epicentre of quake was somewhere near IndoPak border, Rawalpindi is said to be worst affected city as it is the nearest city to epicentre said NCS (national center of seismology) official .


As many as 50 people were reported to be injured in pakistan occupied Kashmir by the quake.Meanwhile, panic prevailed in indian states like Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab, as people rushed

out of offices and homes feeling the quake .


No casualties is reported so far in india. New delhi and adjoining states in north india including Jammu and Kashmir lie in seismic zone 4, which makes these regions highly vulnerable to

earthquakes .
