Heavy rains lashed city of pearls on Tuesday as south west monsoon surge is active in state. IMD warned that heavy rains in isolated parts of state will continue till September 26.Heavy rains in tune of more than 60 mm has lashed the city on Tuesday, the rains started in afternoon and continued till late night leaving many areas of city waterlogged, places like GachibowliJubilee hills, and Madhapur were worst affected .


The arterial roads of these areas were inundated. Trimulgherry received the highest rainfall with 60.5 mm, Keesara 56.3 mm followed by Balanagar 55.8mm. Despite bountiful rainfall hyderabad still reel under rainfall deficit of 13 percent .


Due to water logging in several areas people faced a lot of difficulties, many took to social media platforms to vent their anger. Cyberabad traffic police issued advisory to leave workplaces and offices late to avoid and escape the traffic jams Meteorologists have predicted heavy rains till 26 September, the intensity is likely to decrease thereafter. Telangana has received a two percent surplus rainfall from 01 June to 24 September .
