media reports suggest that all the four Accused - Areef, Naveen, shiva, and Chennakesavulu in Disha's Rape and murder cases were encountered. They say all the four of them tried to escape from the scene of the offense when police took them from scene Re-construction. The police resorted to shooting in self-defense when they tried to attack and in the firing, all the four of them were dead.
The encounter of the accused took place at the same place, where the victim was burnt at an underpass in Chattanpally, along National Highway-44 at 3 AM. The Encounter happened in less than 24 hours after the four accused were given to police custody.
Interestingly, this will remind us of something that happened in 2008. In december 2008, three youth threw acid on two girls, both of them engineering students in warangal town. The main accused srinivas Rao was angry that one of the girls, Swapnika had spurned his overtures and decided to take revenge along with two of his friends. The police cracked the case by arresting the trio within 48 hours. At that time too, there was public outrage that girls were not safe in Andhra Pradesh.
