T. Vanitha (TDP) from Gopalapuram and Maddala Rakesh (Congress) from Chintalapudi were elected in 2009 elections in West Godavari district. Both Vanitha and Rajesh are SC candidates. These two MLAs were disqualified by Speaker Nadendla Manohar for casting the vote in favor of No Confidence Motion. They showed their loyalty towards YSR Congress party. Reportedly from West Godavari political sources their political career fall in doldrums and have no assurance from Jagan.
Initially, Moshen Raju has appointed as Convener for YSRCP in the district. Jagan gave assurance to Moshen Raju on Kovvur (SC) segment. He believed that Jagan is also entertaining his followers like his father YSR. Jagan asked again to Moshen Raju not to pin more hopes on Kovvur, you will get priority as MLC soon after our Govt formed. Raju was getting shocked. As per the latest buzz, Jagan has planned to move T. Vanitha from Gopalapuram to Kovvur. Unwillingly, Vanitha accepts his offer. But local cadre is confused in both Kovvur and Gopalapuram Segments. Kovvur leaders tested Vanitha before Jagan. “We will accept her only if she told any one of us to her earlier”.
Coming to Rajesh situation is very critical and pathetic. Vanitha is getting assured from Jagan on contesting from any one of the segments. Maddala Rajesh can’t get any such assurance. Rajesh is worked for YSRCP in the segment and sacrificed membership before 10 months of his tenure. The suspense is still continuing on Rajesh matter. His followers and cadre are in worry on his future. YSRCP cadre came know some unknown issues after Sabbam Hari attack on YS Jagan.
