andhra pradesh chief minister was the keynote speaker at the day-long conclave titled ‘Excellence in Education’, which was held under the aegis of The hindu Publications group. The conclave was held at The Gateway Hotel in Vijayawada.
jagan reiterated that vishakapatnam as the capital is the best bet for Andhra Pradesh. jagan said visakhapatnam already had the basic infrastructure in place and it could be developed as the best capital in the world with only ten percent of what is required to build Amaravati.
He also elaborated that the cost of providing basic infrastructure in amaravati was pegged at Rs 1.09 lakh crores while the spending capacity of any government is just Rs 5,000 crores. "With bad finances and no help from the center, a city of amaravati scale is impossible. “Being head of the state and thinking like a father, the most prudent thing to do is to take the decision of three capitals,” he added. This is the first time the chief minister has spoken about the three capitals idea outside the Assembly. This has come a day after some farmers from amaravati met Jagan.
