Political vendetta starts between Devineni Nehru (Congress) and Devineni Baji Prasad (TDP) in Corporation elections. Devineni Chandrasekhar is the President of Telugu Yuvatha in Vijayawada. Chandrashekar is the son of Devineni Baji Prasad who is the brother of Devineni Nehru. Differences started between two families in the selection of the Ward members in coming Corporation elections. Both TDP and Congress have decided to contest in Second division of the Corporation.
That comes under Bharathi Nagar and Currency Nagar under Vijayawada (East). Kamma community votes are in dominant in both Bharathi Nagar and Currency Nagar. TDP incharge for Vijayawada (East) Gadde Ramohan gave a proposal that to field Devineni Aparna mother of Devineni Baji Prasad in Second division. All were agreed for that proposal including Baji Prasad. From same division, Nehru decided to field his associate Galla Ravi wife Padmavathi as Congress candidate. Ravi expressed his fear before Nehru that Baji followers threatened to withdraw from the contest.
Angered Nehru suggested Ravi to give police complaint against Baji Prasad. Devineni Nehru is in thought of fielding his own family members from the division. Baji and Chandrashekar denied the allegations and challenged Nehru to reveal the names. Chandrashekar has committed to field his mother in the division. With this incident, interest has increased among the people on Vijayawada Corporation elections.
