The Legendary producer Pullaiah who had directed top actors of the telugu Film industries was born on 2nd may in the year 1911. He is not only a producer but also great Director. He has started his career as director in the year 1935 with the movie ‘Harish Chandra’ which is a Mythological movie starring Sri rama Chandra and Kannamba. He has also directed Super Hit movie Jayabheri starring akkineni nageswara rao and anjali Devi. The movie has combination of both Carnatic and folklore in its songs. It was also translated to Marati and hindi then. Another Epic story named Sarangadhara , a story of raja Narendra was ditected by Pullaiah. It is the greatest and epics that are remembered till today. Another movie casting Hemalatha, Bhanumathi, Santha kumara was also directed and produced by him in the year 1941. The screen play was done by Dharmapathi. Again in the year 1941, he had directed a kannada film named Honappa Bhagavathar and Gubbi Veeranaa.
Later with a combination of 6 different from 6 different languages was directed by him in the year 1945. He named this movie as ‘Maya Machindra’. The story is about one of the eight MahaSiddas. This movie is also made in amil, Marathi, hindi and other languages along with telugu.
For his tremendous work he had received several awards and Merit Certificates by the Industry. Few of them are Best Feature film in Award in 1959. And Merit Certticate in telugu for the film Jayabheri. His movie ‘Ardhangi’ was also selected as Best film in the year 1955
He had married to famous Actress P. santha Kumari. In the year 198 had his last breathe.
