According to sources the Remove china Apps has gained much importance among indian Android smartphone users in India. The app helps the users to remove the apps made by Chinese companies from your phone. After downloading the app, click scan now and then the list of apps that belong to chinese companies including TikTok, ShareIt, CamScanner and more appears on the phones. In just a span of two weeks, the app has got more than one million downloads on Android and is on the number 2 position on google Playlist. The Remove china Apps was launched on May 17 and it has gained from the anti-China sentiment sparked by the Covid-19 pandemic and the stand-off in Ladakh and the app has a very simple user interface and if the users have no apps from Chinese companies on the mobiles, then it says, “You are awesome, No china app found in your system."

According to the company's website, the app has been developed by OneTouch AppLabs which claims to be based in Jaipur. A simple WHOIS search shows that the website was registered just about a week ago. In the WHOIS searches, the owner of the website has been masked and couldn't find any other details of the company on the Ministry of corporate Affairs (MCA).The company behind the app sounds quite questionable. The privacy policy is a simple single page document that details what data the app takes. It is better to have a simple document like this, but on the other hand, there is no mention of what liability the company takes in case of breaches etc. At the moment, the app doesn’t require any special consent-based permissions.

The privacy policy states that it has collected the information about the platform type (Android), operating system version, number of clicks on app feature, device model, language you use for the device system, the mobile country codes (MCC), device manufacturer name, version code of apps you’re using, version name of apps you’re using, time of your phone and screen resolution.
