From the past few days, there are rumors that chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao may impose one more Lockdown in the capital city to control the spread. However, some experts feel that it is not an easy decision because hyderabad contributes the majority of telangana income and the state may not afford the dwindling of the revenues.
"There is no chance of another Lockdown in hyderabad or Telangana. There are no discussions happening in the government on that front," telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar clarified to media. According to the medical bulletin released last night, telangana reported 237 fresh Covid-19 cases and three deaths on Sunday.
With this, the total number of cases has surged to 4,974, and the death toll mounted to 185. It might even reach the 400 cases per day mark by the end of this month. The fact that recovery is slow means that the pressure on health infrastructure is likely to be heavy. There is no sight of the government making any attempt to increase the hospital beds. The Temporary hospital readied in Gachibowli stadium stayed unused to date even though there are reports about the scarcity of the hospital beds.
