andhra pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department (MA & UD) minister Botsa Satyanarayana sprang a surprise by touring amaravati and oversaw the model plots which were being constructed for ministers and MLAs near velagapudi in Amaravati. He also inspected the existing indian All service Quarters, NGO, HODs towers and judges quarters.
The minister spoke to the contractors - Shapoorji Pallonji and others. The visit assumes significance in the wake of comments made by panchayat raj minister p ramachandra reddy on sunday, june 21 that shifting of the capital to visakhapatnam has deffered until the end of the ongoing Pandemic. Interestingly, the government also release the lease amount to the farmers of amaravati who gave their lands to the Capital.
It is known to our readers that the government is keen on trifurcate the capital with vishakapatnam being the Executive capital, amaravati being the Legislative capital, and kurnool being the Judicial Capital. The farmers who have given their lands to the capital are worried that this is an attempt the concept of the capital depriving amaravati of the Capital. The issue also landed up in the Courts.
