TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is busy getting mileage out of his Padayatra ‘Vastunnaa…Mee Kosam’ and giving new hopes to his cadre but on the backside, there are number of experienced leaders who are either quitting TDP or getting suspended. The suspension spree has been on the higher side this time.
But something like this happened sometime back when Chiranjeevi established Praja Rajyam Party. Some key leaders of TDP jumped into PRP but after a while most of them returned back to TDP. However, things are not the same this time. Those who are quitting TDP are jumping mostly into YSRCP.
And YSRCP has been very strategic about retaining all those who are entering into their camps. Time is running out with 2014 elections approaching and there is no new cadre building up in TDP. With YSRCP building in size and TDP getting reduced, it will be a serious challenge for Chandrababu to face the elections with strength.
