Ashok Singh who is the president of the Hindu organisation Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) for over 20 years took his last breath yesterday. According to sources, Singhal took his last breath by 2:24pm yesterday. He had his last minutes at Medanta-The Medicity hospital.
Doctor Yatin Mehta treated him. The doctor said, "Singha was admitted on our hospital on 13th November with heart and Kidney Problems. He also had breathlesness problems. The leader passed away at 2:24pm despite our best efforts."
He is 89 years old. He born in Angra and his father was a government official. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Benaras Hindu University Institute of Technology in 1950. He worked around India. He started his duty as joint secretary in the year 1980.
Later he became general secretary of VHP by 1984. Apart from his professional life, he is also a trained vocalist in Hindustani music. He studied under Pandit Omkarnath Thakur. On behalf of our team, we express our deepest condolences !
