Finally Pattiseema irrigation project gets advanced. The project have commissioned four pumping systems out of total 24. This is something ahead of the schedule. The schedule has been advanced by 15 days. The project will be completed by March 31st 2016.
Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) is the project developer and they have promised to start all 24 pumping systems by month of March. If they keep up their promise, this would be the first irrigation project to be completed ahead of the schedule.
This is also the first river linking project in whole of South India. If this project comes to action this will solve the drinking water needs of people from Rayalseema region. It has to be noted that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu commissioned the first pump on 16th September.
A senior official from MEIL said, "Yeah we are working ahead of time. So far we completed 3,4 and 6 pumping chambers which include pump and motor systems. No.2 pumping system will be ready in three days time."
