Ragging problem has always been a huge issue. A 19 year old student who was studying in Engineering college in Chennai came home for Diwali holidays and he hanged himself at his house in Nizampet, Hyderabad.
Sources said he was a victim of ragging. Krishna Chaitanya is a second year B.Tech student at a Private engineering college in Chennai. He hanged himself at his house. Before suicide he left an eight page suicide note which mentioned that he faced extreme 'ragging' by his seniors.
The suicide note clearly mentioned that he suffered at hands of five third year students who also lived along with him in same hostel. He has said that the seniors has bet him when he refused to do their work where he was even hospitalized once.
One among the senior has even forced him to give money to buy a brand new mobile. He has given that money which was sent by his father every month. A police official said, "Following a complaint from Krishna's family members, we have registered a case under section 306 of IPC and under relevant sections of Anti-Ragging Act."
