With the elections for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation all
set to happen, senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi firebrand leader and
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has cleverly implemented his old game
of Operation Akarsh for luring key leaders of Opposition parties.
According
to sources, Harish Rao played a major role while luring senior TDP’s
leader and Cantonment MLA G Sayanna into TRS. Sayanna, along with a
Congress MLC from Hyderabad Mr. S Prabhakar, joined in the presence of
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao yesterday.
It
is believed that Harish Rao had a really tough bargain with both the
leaders, since they coming into TRS will boost the chances of pink party
in the GHMC elections. Harish had earlier successfully engineered the
defection of four more TDP legislators into the TRS.

Srinivas Yadav from Sanath Nagar, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy from
Ibrahimpatnam, Teegala Krishna Reddy from Maheshwaram, and Madhavaram
Krishna Rao from Kukatpally and now it is Sayanna. In a way it is being
said that this is Harish’s long term strategy of boosting his camp!
