Heaviest rain fall unprecedented in 100 years flooded Chennai, turning the city into a island. Almost all regions got affected and people are waiting for help from any quarters.

Union Government rushed in Army and NDRF to conduct relief and rescue operations. Apart form it many NGOs swung into action and even Chennai people showed exemplary resolve by throwing their houses open to people in need.

However under these circumstances some people turned vampires to thrive on the flood victims sucking their blood.Suddenly prices of essential commodities, bus and air fares increased by four or five folds shocking everyone.

Milk is sold at Rs 100/ litre and same is the case with other commodities. Busfares doubled from 500 Rs to 2000Rs and same is the case with airlines. It was left to High Court to step in and direct TN Government headed by Jayalalitha to ensure that bus services are operated for free to flood victims.
