Years may pass but no one can forget the brutal rape of Nirbhaya in Delhi. Now the juvenile convict the most brutal of the all will walk free from jail on Dec 20, just because he was juvenile at the time of crime. Government says it will keep a watch on him and under the surveillance of an NGO but this is is not that easy.
The juvenile already appealed not to keep him under surveillance. Unless until Delhi High Court intervenes he will walk free sending shivers in the spines of everyone. Nirbhaya's father says the juvenile may commit another crime to be in jail as he fears lynching by angry people once he comes out.
He added "What he did was not normal for a person of his age. I never considered him to be a child. We have stopped asking for further punishment, but fear that he might turn out to be more violent and commit more such crimes against other women. Who knows what he is thinking?"
He goes on to question "Can you imagine a criminal whose face is not known to anyone being released without any check on his movement or activities? At least, his nature should be analysed and actions taken accordingly,"
Already intellegence reports are coming that he had
been radicalised. In a shocker Delhi Govt came with a 20year
rehabilitation plan for him to providing Rs 10000 and a sewing machine
so that he can have a tailoring shop.
This triggered objections from the Union Government as the mental
state of the juvenile is not that of a reformed one.
