Chennai Floods has completely battered the normal life style of Chennai people. Ruling party ADMK was lashed out for being irresponsible. Most media said that this floods was a 'Man Made Calamity'. Even while distributing relief items, ADMK party members forced NGO's to stick Jayalalitha's face on each item.
Things went against the ruling party during these floods. Already Jayalalitha requested MP's and MLA's of the party to donate their one month salary for flood relief work. Now it seems they have donated as per Jayalalitha's request.
A statement from Jayalalitha said that the elected representatives MP's and MLA's will contribute one month's salary towards flood relief work in the state. She also said that her party is providing all kinds of support to the flood affected victims.
A press statement reads, "Your beloved sister will always be with you. Don't worry. My thoughts are always with you." She further added that, "My sincere thanks and wishes to all those who are volunteering and contributing for the relief measures."
