Christmas Gifts comes in all shapes and sizes. But this time people of Chennai found those in Mosquito repellent coil packets. Mr.Hubert who is the Director of a non-profit organization called Shabnam Resources said, "Even though we are doing it on Christmas, I was very particular that the stickers should say 'Happy New Year'. It should be very universal."
The recent floods washed away lots of homes and people are right now standing in middle of no where. But Christmas is art of giving and to keep the spirits high, the Christmas gifts were provided. Santa has provided gifts consisting of Bed sheets, utensils, clothes and books.
Reverend Asir Ebenezer said, "Church near Sholinganallur had celebrations for more than 50000. But they used that money to provide relief kits. That was distributed in some places near Vyasarpadi, Madhavaram, Red Hills, some of the worst-hit."
The Christmas is not the usual one and this year it has been more of giving and the festival is filled with love and empathy. The real spirit of Christmas was at Chennai.
