There has been more of talk regarding the so called overdrive for
shifting the administration of Andhra Pradesh away from Hyderabad city
for the first time in decades. Now finally something concrete is
happening in this regard.
Andhra Pradesh
government has issued a G.O for the construction of the Temporary
Secretariat building in Amaravati, Guntur district. This temporary
secretariat will be coming up in a 20-acre site at the earmarked
Amaravati township near Mangalagiri.
According to this G.O, CRDA will be soon calling for tenders and the construction would be completed by June 30th 2016. The cost of construction is expected to be around 180 Crore for the state’s exchequer.
The
state government is all set to offer a 90 Crore interest free loan
whereas the remaining 90 Crore will be taken as a Loan from HUDCO. The
construction is expected to be completed on a war footing using Prefab
or Precasting technology for creating an office space of nearly six lakh
square feet.
