Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is all set to give gifts to backward classes by the name of Chandranna Kanuka. This has been planned for the Sankranthi season next week in the state.
However sources say that the TDP Supremo would also be giving the opposition leader a shock. A media report has reportedly pointed out that five YSR Congress MLAs, all of them from Kurnool district are currently in talks with the ruling party for shifting their loyalty.
The ruling party seems to have already convinced the existing leaders in these constituencies regarding their joining. Kurnool district’s TDP President, Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy is believed to have played a crucial role in the whole exercise.
These five MLAs will take the plunge into TDP by Sankranthi. Kurnool is
considered one of the stronghold districts of YSR Congress and now TDP
is all set to weaken it there to the maximum extent possible by the next
elections.
