Former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa has been both strength as well as weakness of BJP. He is winning votes for the party, but there have been lots of allegations regarding corruption. This is definitely spoiling the party's reputation. But he is not bothering about it and he continues to go in his path.
Opposition also targeted him as the main thing. Now the latest is that the courts have struck all the corruption cases against him. Which means he will play a more active role in the party and his political hibernation has ended.
But will this be a boon or bane to the party ? That is an unanswered question. BJP is ready to welcome him. But as he was jailed on all those allegations, he has sympathy on his side.
This will be highly useful during election campaign. All the charges were proved wrong and baseless. He is now aiming for post of Chief Minister in the upcoming assembly elections. But now he is not planning to join BJP again.
