We already reported that the whole city of Hyderabad is flooded with flex boards and hoardings. Most of these billboards and flexes are disturbing the passers by. It causes more distraction to all the drivers.


Now with respect to an order by the state election commissioner V.Nagi Reddy, all the unauthorized advertising materials were removed. We heard from sources that 7700+ billboards were removed across the city.


Officials reported that they have removed 623 Cut-outs, 1778 Flexes, 1277 banners, 2336 posters and 1715 Photographed billboards. The official said that lots of them belonged to Political parties with respect to GHMC polls. The ads are mostly found in places such as Khairatabad, Somajiguda, Ameerpet and Begumpet.


The highest number of flexes were removed at Old Bowenpally Circle. Similarly the highest number of cut-outs were removed from Khairatabad area. The number reads as 175. Shankeraiah who is an additional commissioner said, "This is getting more regular for us. We are trying to remove as much as possible."
