The villagers of Undavalli recently attended a 'Grama Sabha' held by the CRDA and there seems to be absolute chaos which had reigned at this meeting with all villagers protesting over allotment of developed plots.
While the best plots seem to have been earmarked for corporates, there is an apprehension that the low-lying ones were being given for the villagers. The protesting villagers were also reportedly warned by an SI that seems to have acerbated the situation.
This was followed by a roll call by the authorities of those villagers who have attended this meeting and those who didn’t attend it which indirectly hinted who were on their side and also those who weren’t. This reportedly scared the villagers.
They seems to have feared the wrath by TDP government against those who were not supporting its policies. Well even a single person wasn’t arrested so far in the case pertaining to the burning down of some of the farmers’ fields!
