Chandrababu Naidu is just playing games with Andhra Pradesh. In order to satisfy few contractors he has started the Pattiseema project which is completely unnecessary. Telangana Government raised objection to this saying that the Godavari river on which the project is being constructed is an inter-state river.
So Telangana has to get more additional allocation of Krishna water if Godavari water were to be diverted to Krishna through this project as per the Bachawat award. But to everyone's surprise, Telangana Government has withdrew all the opposition to Pattiseema.
This is a clever move by TRS as it will be a sign of Telangana's goodwill towards Andhra. Telangana Government has right now commissioned more number of mega irrigation projects which will never get approval from Union Government.
This is in particular for Andhra for the arbitrary nature of their design and effect on water sharing agreements. Now KCR will expect Chandrababu Naidu to withdraw all the opposition on these projects. So if he does, he will be labelled ungrateful.
