Tamil Nadu Celebrated the 67th Republic day with Governor K.Rosaiah hosting the National flag at Marina beach. More than 800 students from various schools across the district performed at the Republic Day celebrations at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium.
Already the rehearsals were done in full throttle for the celebrations. Apart from flag hoisting, there were some cultural programmes. Freedom Fighters were also honoured and beneficiaries under government schemes will be given assistance.
The best performing Government Officials from each district were given certificates apart from honouring them. The parade took place and everyone saluted the base. Similarly in Delhi, President Pranab Mukherjee hoisted the National Flag at Rajpath and French counterpart Francois Hollande arrived at Rajpath to attend the 67th Republic Day celebrations.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached after that and he was greeted by Home Minister Rajnath Singh. There have a multi-layered security after lots of terrorists threats were thrown.
