Kapu community agitation demanding quotas in educational institutions and government jobs took violent turn with the protesters setting fire to six compartments of Ratnachal Express and two police stations. Huge tragedy was averted when an alert driver turned off the electric supply.
Many people after receiving call from senior Kapu leader and ex-minister Mudragada Padmanabham for Kapu Garjana turned violent going berserk after attending the meeting at V Kottur village. 15 police personnel were injured and two police stations were set on fire.Padmanabham called off the blockade but warned that he will go on indefinite fast if AP government willnot act on his demands.
AP CM Chandra Babu said he will bring in GO tomorrow itself and will the political parties take responsibility of passing the GO. He said one criminal was responsible for the violent incidents.
He blamed Padmanabham for inciting violence
and said he doesn't know how to learn party.He said leaders like
him are stalling the development in the state. He blamed Jagan Mohan
Reddy's YSRCP behind the violent incidents.
