Woman always prove that they are equivalent to men in all areas. They prove that they also have similar physical and mental fitness. Lt. Commander Vartika Joshi will lead India's first all-women crew to sail the oceans. The crew consists of give women. The adventure will start by 2017.
The team recently completed their International Fleet Review (IFR). They were training on a sail training boat. Lt Commander Joshi who spoke to media said, "We are going through rigorous training and this requires more hard level of physical activity. One should be strong physically as well as mentally.
There is no short cut to it. It does not matter whether you are a man or a woman, you have to do what you are required to do. The sea also doesn't differentiate between a man and woman. A sailor is always a sailor.
One should be on toes all the time. The crew must be aware of every inch of the boat. Because they need to repair the boat themselves in case of damage. Also in open sea this remains unpredictable."
