Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu finally makes it for real. He laid the foundation stone for the temporary secretariat in the upcoming state capital Amaravati. Chandrababu did all religious rituals before laying the foundation stone.


This temporary secretariat is being formed at a space of 45 acres in Velagapudi village at Guntur district. L&T Constructions and Shapoorji Pallonji agreed to complete the whole area allotted for building within four months. The state cabinet has agreed for a cost of Rs.3350 per Sq.feet.


It was earlier decided to be Rs.3000. Of the total 45 acres, 27 acres have been earmarked for government buildings and the rest for public facilities. This secretariat will have three building blocks and all of them will function for various departments.


Naidu's cabinet colleagues, assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao and top officials attended the foundation stone laying ceremony. One of the employee said that with proper coordination and finance, the building work will be completed as scheduled.
