The big discussion happening across the political circles of Andhra Pradesh is the possible joining of Bhooma Nagireddy into the Telugu Desam Party. Bhooma who is a key member of the YSRCP held two hours long discussion with Chandrababu Naidu and a decision is yet to be arrived.
But the question is, why is Bhooma so important for TDP? There are many reasons for that. Firstly, Bhooma is former TDP member and his clout in the Kurnool area is phenomenal. At the same time, he knows the working system of TDP and also YSRCP.
The idea of having Bhooma back in TDP is not about increasing its strength but it will certainly deliver a big blow to YS Jagan and his party. For Bhooma, he is well aware that till 2019 there are no elections so associating with the opposition party for three years is of no use.
There are reports that some of the Kurnool based TDP leaders are not willing to allow Bhooma but the bigger picture is, having him around will fortify the grip of TDP in the Kurnool region. For now, Chandrababu Naidu is said to be open about having Bhooma so let us see what happens.
