Telangana Government is keen to operate 70 minorities residential schools. Already the Government sanctioned for 70 schools. The first board meeting took place between the  board of governors of the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society.

It was spearheaded by Educational Minister Kadiyam Srihari. The Educational Minister instructed the secretary of the Minorities Welfare Department (MWD) to provide development with respect to the same.

Deputy chief minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali also said the officials have been instructed to start all work and identify land parcels where the schools can be constructed. Deputy Chief Minister Ali said, "We already have identified 35 buildings where the schools will run and search for remaining ones is on.

Students will not have to take any entrance test to study here." Already there have been huge buzz  as most of the schools  are demanding huge fees. The Government is still keeping muted response regarding the hike in school fee. Most of the schools ask donation under the name of "One Time Activity Fee"
