The Management of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Trichy has formally announced the closure of University as the talks between students and the officials of Anna University (Trichy) has never provided any amicable solution. On other hand students demand to provide quality staff and a permanent campus.
One of the students inside the campus said, "We need quality teaching staff. Teachers are not at all qualified. Even M.Tech graduates without any exposure are appointed for low wages. None of the staff has knowledge on the syllabus.
Most of the time, syllabus stay incomplete. It is tough to prepare for semester examinations. Second, we need a permanent campus and change of mentor-ship from Ann University (Trichy) to NIT Trichy. As the campus is located at a temporary spot, we face lots of trouble."
The indefinite closure order was struck on Hostel notice board. Students who were residing in hostel were forced to vacate the hostel at once. The notice was also sent to parents of all inmates in hostel.
