Political climate in the country is heating thanks to the controversy over the students hailing Afzal Guru, Maqbool Bhatt, terrorists who were hanged by the supreme court.


With the students raising Anti India slogans and calling for the destruction of the country, the police slapped sedition charges against JNU students union leader Kanhaiah Kumar and arrested him.While the ruling BJP supported the arrest, opposition parties headed by Congress criticised the government for stabbing free speech.


Even parliament was stalled over the issue with the talks of patriotism,nationalism and anti nationalism. Channels too turned pro and anti JNU campaign. A survey was conducted by leading company on what people think about the whole issue.People from Delhi,Mumbai,Kolkata and Chennai felt that it was wrong on JNU students to hail terrorists Afzal Guru and call for destruction of the country.


72% opposed students behavior and organising the meeting supporting terrorist. 28% people supported JNU event.63% supported sedetion charges on JNU students and 57% supported the need for the British laws over sedetion. Unlike opposition parties, people across the nation stood in unision.
